This document outlines the procedure to change a Service Engine (SE) group's High Availability (HA) mode
Changing the HA method for an existing Service Engine Group
1) The below procedure is a disruptive process and would require downtime.
2) The virtual services would be impacted.
1) Disable all Virtual Services (VS) currently hosted on the SE group.
2) Navigate to Administration -> Cloud Resources -> Service Engine Group -> Select the correct cloud from the drop-down in case of multiple clouds.
3) Edit the desired Service Engine group and modify the SE group's HA mode to the desired HA mode.
4) Adjust the Virtual Service scale-out settings according to the requirements of the HA Mode.
5) Adjust the "Max Service Engines per Service Engine Group" and other settings specific to the HA mode.
6) Carefully review and validate all adjusted settings before saving.
7) Enable the Virtual Services.
1) Make sure the VS is placed on the SEs in the SE group.
2) Check the SEs where the VS is placed by hovering the mouse on the VS name.
3) The number of service engines in the above step should match the scale-out number set in the Service Engine group.
