Issue/Introduction

vCenter triggered alarm stating the LDAPS certificate is due to expire.

This KB is to aid in checking the Expiration Date of an LDAPS SSL Certificate.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.x

Resolution

  • Log in as root to the vCenter Server via ssh (putty).
  • Run the following command: /opt/vmware/bin/sso-config.sh -get_identity_sources
    Ignore the SLF4J messages.
  • View the SSL certificate's details and verify the NotAfter field.
