Error "Cannot retrieve vSphere Replication site issues" seen in Site Recovery UI on pairing vSphere Replication servers

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• In fresh deployment of vSphere Replication 8.6, performing site pairing throws following error as seen in Site Recovery at Prod site:
  "Cannot retrieve vSphere Replication site issues" 






• Site Pairing shows connected when viewed from Site Recovery UI at DR site:
  
  

Environment

vSphere Replication 8.6

Cause

• vCenter and VR appliance at Prod sites not in time sync with corresponding servers at DR site.
  
  
• Time skew more than 30 seconds flags off this issue.

Resolution

• Ensure vCenter and VR appliances at one site are within 30 seconds of corresponding servers at other site.
  
  
• Same NTP at both sites is a best practice to avoid time-skew.
  
  
• In case of no NTP in use, ensure vCenter and VR appliances are synced with ESXi hosts at respective sites.
  Additionally, ESXi hosts at both sites are manually synced.
  
  
• To configure Time on ESXi hosts from vSphere Client:
  
  ---> Click on ESXi host in vCenter inventory > Configure > Time Configuration > Click on 'Manual Set-up'.
