Issue/Introduction

After device firmware upgrade, receiving InsufficientFreeMemory event

Environment

10.x Smarts

2.x TCSA

Cause

After firmware upgrade, the sysoid for 'Current lowmem usage' (fgSysLowMemUsage - .1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.4.9) & Total lowmem capacity (fgSysLowMemCapacity - .1.3.6.1.4.1.12356.101.4.10) returns a value of 0.

Thus based on customer's pulling and threshold setting would trigger the event.

Resolution

Customer will need to either speak with their network administrator to find out why these two oids have '0' value and/or contact vendor to determine the reason/resolution.

In the mean time, customer setup a separate memory threshold policy group for these memory instances and not set threshold monitoring for this group as a work around.
