Issue/Introduction

• Attempting to delete Organization VDC from the VMware Cloud Director (VCD) UI fails, and you see messages similar to:

ERROR: [ #####-#####-##### ] Internal Server Error - could not execute update query - ERROR: update or delete on table "logical_network" violates foreign key constraint "fk_net_interface2logical_net" on table "network_interface" Detail: Key (id)=(####-####-####) is still referenced from table "network_interface"

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

This issue occurs because of stale child entries in the Cloud Director database that prevent the deletion of an Organization VDC.

Resolution

Database modifications are required to remove stale entries of Org VDC from Cloud Director. To resolve this issue, please open a Support Request with Broadcom Technical Support and note this Article ID (390839) in the problem description.
