Modify operations stuck in progress while view operations are successfull

Issue/Introduction

Any attempt to modify an enterprise user or any other update gets stuck in progress, while any view operation is successful on all users.

It is a cluster of 2 nodes. Shutting down one of the nodes does not resolve the issue.

Another symptom: Message Health test gets stuck and never reaches 100%. Should be:

Environment

Identity Manager v14.5.

Cause

The cluster is configured as multicast cluster. The multicast address must be unique between clusters. There is another cluster using the same address.

Resolution

Change multicast address for the cluster so that it becomes unique or use unicast.
