vSAN online Health Alarm 'Disks usage on storage controller'

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms: 

• The purpose of the Disks usage on storage controller check is to verify whether the vSAN controller uses both vSAN and non-vSAN disks.
  
  
•  This warning vSAN hardware compatibility alarm 'Disks usage on storage controller' appears in the summary tab of the vSAN cluster:

Environment

VMware vSAN 7.x
VMware vSAN 8.x

Cause

This issue can occur if the vSAN storage controller does not support RAID mode configuration and only supports disks in Pass-through mode.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, ensure the vSAN storage controller supports the RAID mode configuration. 

• Check the vSAN Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) to confirm if the controller supports disks in just Pass-through or both Pass-through and RAID mode configuration.
