Issue/Introduction

  • When you try to delete an organization in VMware Cloud Director (VCD), in the UI, you can see an error similar to:

"[ ########-####-####-####-############ ] null id in com.vmware.vcloud.common.model.event.AuditTrailEventModel entry (don't flush the Session after an exception occurs)"

  • In the logs, or when trying to manually delete an org member from the Org VDC we have the UI error:

ERROR: update or delete on table "org_member" violates foreign key constraint "fk_app_template2org_member" on table "app_template" Detail: Key (org_member_id)=(11111111-####-####-####-############) is still referenced from table "app_template"

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.1
VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

This issue occurs because there are stale entries in the Database for app templates which are no longer part of any catalog.
