Issue/Introduction

The Start / Finish date in INV_INVESTMENTS does not always match 8:00 AM – 5PM which is customer's Standard Calendar. In INV_INVESTMENTS we can see any start times, aside from 8:00AM , including 3:00AM, 5:37AM etc.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Connect to Clarity Classic
  2. In Project List – Configure – add Start and Finish to the list
  3. Now go to Configure – List Column Section – Fields – click on the icon for Start
  4. Set Date/Time Format Scale to Day Time
  5. Repeat 3-4 for field Finish
  6. Now create/edit the Project Start and Finish in different way in Classic and MUX
  7. Note the display in Project List in Classic (or you can use the columns schedule_start and schedule_finish in INV_INVESTMENTS to note the timestamp)

Expected Results: The date timestamp to change in a consistent way

Actual Results: The date will sometimes match Standard Calendar in server time (PST) , sometimes Created / Updated time. There is no clear logic behind it.

Environment

Clarity 16.2.x, 16.3.x

Cause

Reviewed as DE166009 and this will be converted to a user story

Resolution

  • Clarity should be consistent to always have 8-5 timestamp.
  • On a user story we will evaluate all the places where there is inconsistencies.
  • Identifying all the places would be part of the overall impact analysis work.
  • It should be consistent and the current behavior for the most part is that it should set the time stamp to 8-5 (hard-coded)
