Unable to patch ESXi host since Image compliance precheck fails

Issue/Introduction

Symptom:

• Image Compliance check fails with vSAN HCL DB up-to-date error.

Validation:

• Click on the vSAN cluster > Monitor > Under vSAN, go to Skyline Health to check if there are any critical skyline health alert.

Environment

VMware vSphere vSAN 7.X

VMware vSphere vSAN 8.X

Cause

• Compliance precheck fails since the vSAN cluster has unresolved health related alerts.

Resolution

• If your vCenter Server has Internet access, click the "Get Latest Version Online" button.
  
  
  
  
• If your vCenter Server doesn’t have Internet access, then you can get the latest HCL DB from https://vvs.broadcom.com/service/vsan/all.json, save this as a .json file locally then use the "Update From File" button to upload it to vCenter Server by referring the steps on Updating the vSAN HCL database manually
