Issue/Introduction

The CA Service Catalog installation program includes Apache Tomcat software that is the default web application server for CA Service Catalog.

How to know the Apache Tomcat version used in CA Service Catalog?

Environment

CA Service Catalog 12.8, 12.9, 14.1 and 17.x

All supported Windows Operating Systems

Resolution

1.  Open a command prompt with 'Run as Administrator' on the CA Service Catalog server

2.  Change to the embedded Tomcat directory

cd [CATALOG_HOME_PATH]\embedded\tomcat

Note: You should replace [CATALOG_HOME_PATH] string with the Service Catalog home path

3.  Run the following command:

 "[CATALOG_HOME_PATH]\embedded\jre7\bin\java" -cp lib\catalina.jar org.apache.catalina.util.ServerInfo

4.  You will receive an output like the following, which shows the Tomcat version being used by Service Catalog:

Server built:   Jul 4 2019 20:53:15 UTC
Server number:  8.5.43.0
OS Name:        Windows Server 2012 R2
OS Version:     6.3
