ICA application is missing from IIS manager

Issue/Introduction

You successfully installed Information Centric Analytics (ICA) on your application server and confirmed it was working as expected; however, when later accessing the server, you discover that the Risk Fabric console is not available and both the RiskFabricAppPool and the RiskFabric site are missing from Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, along with all other sites (for example, the Default Site). The Risk Fabric Server Web folder and its contents are still present in the file system on the server, however.

Cause

Patching or a security policy change (for example, local or GPO) has removed privileges to view and manage sites in Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

Resolution

Work with your operating system administrator or Active Directory administrator to restore privileges, create an exception to allow you to manage IIS, or restore the server with a backup.
