Issue/Introduction

Existing users are getting set to Stranded or unable to login to Cloud Director. Local users are working, and tenants with the LDAP connection already set to "Active Directory" function and continue to function. There are no relevant logs on the VMware Cloud Director cells.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Resolution

If the connector type used to configure LDAP for the tenant is set to Open LDAP and the backing is Microsoft Active Directory then change the Connector Type to Active Directory. Sync the connection, and verify the users are able to login.
