Receiving error when running the installer for Universal Reporter 8.31. "Windows error 2 occured while loading the Java VM"

Issue/Introduction

Issue/Problem/Symptoms: 

When running the installer for Unified Reporter 8.31 the following error is received "Windows error 2 occured while loading the Java VM" .

Environment:  

Windows 2012 R2, UIM version 8.3

 

Cause: 

The cause was due to Java version being used, for server 2012 the UR installation requires Java 1.70_51 update

 

Resolution/Workaround:

1. Identify the Java version in use Java -version, if not Java 1.70_51 uninstall

2. Install Java 1.70_51
