Issue/Introduction

  • HCX Hybridity UI (port 443) encountered an issue where the "CHECK FOR UPDATES" process fails, displaying the message: "Service Update: No new update available at this time. Please try again later."



  • Validated there is no issue with connectivity to backend depot using below commands.

    curl -k -v https://hybridity-depot.broadcom.com
    curl -k -v https://hybridity-depot.broadcom.com --proxy <proxy-fqdn-ip>:<proxy-port>             (If proxy is configured for internet access)

  • The following error is logged in the HCX Manager : 

    /common/logs/admin/web.log

Environment

VMware HCX 4.10.2 or earlier

Resolution

As a first step, please try the workaround of downloading the HCX upgrade bundle and performing the upgrade through the HCX Management UI on port 9443. You can follow the step-by-step instructions outlined in the Upgrade HCX Manager for Local Sites guide.
Note: Ensure that you download the correct upgrade bundle - either HCX Connector or HCX Cloud Manager, depending on your deployment.
