VMware Cloud Director 10.x
There are a number of limitations in the configuration of VMware Fault Tolerance (FT) that prevent FT virtual machines from being managed by VMware Cloud Director (vCD). For example, the requirement to have a 100% memory reservation is incompatible with several allocation models. Additionally, there is the creation of a secondary virtual machine that vCD would not know how to distinguish and display as an item related to the original machine.
Using FT protected virtual machines is not supported for use with VMware Cloud Director. If protection is required, it will need to be performed outside of VMware Cloud Director or another compatible mechanism should be considered.
