HCX Network Extension Activity Log shows JSONObject["tier0_path"] not found.

Issue/Introduction
Network extension was initiated with MON selected. A target router at the destination is selected from the Destination First Hop Router dropdown list.
Network extension task was initiated and appeared to be progressing.
Task ends with no error in the extension UI and the task clears.
HCX Activity log shows the attempt at 100% and the Status shows:
JSONObject["tier0_path"] not found.
Environment
HCX 4.9
VMware Cloud on AWS destination site
Cause
The selected VMC on AWS T1 gateway is not capable of routing. If the target first hop router is set to Isolated, this extension operation will not complete.
Resolution
Navigate to the NSX instance on VMC.
View the tier1 gateways: Networking > Tier-1 Gateways.
Note the gateways that are set to Routed.
From the HCX Network Extension UI, select a first hop router that is of type 'Routed' when viewed from NSX.
Retry the extension operation.
