Agent Version is * when ENC Client is enabled

Issue/Introduction

Agent Version is * for some computers.

In components list in computer properties all plugins are in version 14.5.7.632 except DSM Offline Agent which is in version 14.5.0.153

 

 

DSM Offline Agent is ENC Client component.
This problem occurs when ENC Client is enabled on the computers.

In TRC_CF_REGISTER_0.log we could see this :

Environment

Client Automation 14.5 CU7

Cause

DSM Offline Agent component version is retrieved from properties of file caf.exe
In 14.5 CU7, caf.exe has version 14.5.0.153

Resolution

Open a case at Broadcom technical support and ask for the fix T533401
This fix delivers this file :

Install this fix on Agents 14.5 CU7 with problem.
