EM service fails to start

Issue/Introduction

On the enterprise manager, EM service fails to start. The log is showing following messages:

Launching a JVM...
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap

ERROR  JVM exited while loading the application.
FATAL  There were 99 failed launches in a row, each lasting less than 300 seconds.  Giving up.
FATAL  There may be a configuration problem: please check the logs.

Wrapper Stopped

 

Resolution

Suggest to increase both memory on the system and JVM min and max heap settings for the EMservice.
