Uninstall VIP Enterprise Gateway fails after upgrading from VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.10.x on Windows 2022.

Issue/Introduction

Attempts to uninstall VIP Enterprise Gateway fail with "Fatal Application Error: This application has unexpectedly quit" if it was upgraded from VIP Enterprise Gateway 9.10.x on Windows 2022.

Environment

Windows Server 2022

Resolution

Complete the following steps before launching the uninstall process:

1. Delete the <VIPEG_Install_location>/.installanywhere/jre folder. Example:
   
2. Locate the <VIP EG 9.11 backup dir>/.installanywhere/jre folder. Example:
   
3. Copy the <VIP EG 9.11 backup dir>/.installanywhere/jre to <EG 9.11 install location>/.installanywhere.
4. Proceed with the uninstall process as described in the VIP Enterprise Gateway Upgrade Guide.
