Issue/Introduction

  • TCA Upgrades fail due to a lack of disk/file space.

Environment

2.3, 3.x

Cause

Failures in log rotation in TCA appliance.

Resolution

Remove old log files manually by using rm command to reclaim the space. See The TCA-CP root partition is filled 100%

Additional Information

  • Upgrades require at least ~14GB in /common and 28GB in / of free space.
  • Disk or partition space extension is not supported in TCA, as all TCA appliances are deployed with standard configurations, including predefined disk and partition sizes. Deviating from the standard deployment parameters may lead to issues during future upgrades, potentially rendering the system non-upgradable.
