MUX attribute changes revert back

Issue/Introduction

We have a Custom Investment Object. On some of the object instances there are a few fields where the changes revert back without any error. On some other instances everything is fine. It seems to affect a few fields and a few instances without any pattern that we can identify.

When looking at the Developer Tools Network tab trace we see the call succeeds with a 200 status.

On the payload we can see the value we enter at the Ui, but when we look at the response, we can see the value is reverted to the previous value.

We have discarded blueprint rules, Field Level Security, custom processes ... and we can not figure what can be causing the value reversal. 

 

Environment

Clarity 16.1.3, 16.2.0, 16.2.1, 16.2.2, 16.2.3, 16.3.0, 16.3.1

Cause

The affected fields are located at Investment object field and are linked to a partition

Resolution

The Modern UX is not partitioned aware

Check the custom attributes that are causing the issue in both the Investment object and Custom Investment Object itself.

If the fields are set to a given partition, edit them and set them at the system partition.

This can be done at:

• Classic PPM > Administration > Studio > Investment Object
• Locate the affected field(s)
• If the field is set to a given partition, change it to System
