Issue/Introduction

If vCenter Server (7.0U3i or later) is joined to Active Directory, the below warning events will be recorded in Active Directory's system event log.

The Netlogon service created a secure channel with a client with RC4.

Environment

vCenter Server 7.x
vCenter Server 8.x

Cause

This event occurs because of the processes added in vCenter Server 7.0U3i and later.

Resolution

Migrate from Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) to AD over LDAP(S) and leave the target vCenter Server from Active Directory.
