Issue/Introduction

User cannot disable Open for Time Entry if ETCs are zero in a business rule

Steps to Reproduce: 

  1. Go to Administration>>Blueprints
  2. Create a new Project blueprint
  3. Create a new Business Rule
    • Target Object: Assignment
    • Rule Type: Attribute Update
    • Target Attribute: ETC
    • Add Condition 
    • Under Data Actions
    • If Is Equal to 0, then set attribute Open for Time Entry to No
    • and
    • If Is Empty, then set attribute Open for Time Entry to No
  4. Save and publish blueprint
  5. Associate the blueprint with a project that has assignments with ETC
  6. Delete the ETC

Expected Results: Open for time entry will be set to No

Actual Results: Open for time entry does not change

Resolution

Attribute Update rules cannot be triggered on TSV attributes.  Also, indirect updates do not trigger business rules - updates must happen on the same attribute that is configured on the rule. Which in this case is the scalar ETC as the update was done on the TSV ETC.
