A VMware AVI Load Balancer was configured with VMware Cloud Director, but it no longer exists on the environment or was lost. As a result, there are now multiple errors managing network objects in the logs such as:
I/O error on POST request for "https://<ALB FQDN or IP>/login": Connect to <ALB FQDN or IP>:443 [<ALB FQDN or IP>/<Network IP>] failed: Connection timed out (Connection timed out); nested exception is org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connect to <ALB FQDN or IP>:443 [<ALB FQDN or IP>/<Network IP>] failed: Connection timed out (Connection timed out)
- Connect to <ALB FQDN or IP>:443 [<ALB FQDN or IP>/<Network IP>] failed: Connection timed out (Connection timed out)
- Connection timed out (Connection timed out)
The same error appears when attempting to remove the old ALB reference from VMware Cloud Director.
VMware Cloud Director 10.x
ALB 4.x
VMware Cloud Director will continue attempting to reach the AVI Load Balancer to confirm deletion, and we will continue to have errors. We will have to remove it from the database. Please open a case with VMware support referencing this KB.
