VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle

Cause

Corrupted upgrade iso in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle

Resolution

1. Delete the existing upgrade binary mapping in Aria Suite Lifecycle.

2. Download the upgrade iso again

3. Check the and validate the sha256 checksum

  • the proper sha256 and md5sum is in the Broadcom download page

  •   how to validate sha256 checksum on Powershell for file Prelude_Extensibility_VA-8.18.1.36791-24282368-updaterepo.iso

   example command:

Get-FileHash -Path Prelude_Extensibility_VA-8.18.1.36791-24282368-updaterepo.iso

4. Upgrade binary mapping on Aria Suite Lifecycle

5. Upgrade Aria Automation again

6. Monitor upgrade files on the Aria Automation

tail -f /opt/vmware/var/log/vami/*.log -f /var/log/vmware/prelude/*.log -f /var/log/bootstrap/*.log

For Aria Orchestrator (standalone) download the ISO again from the Broadcom portal and check the ISO checksum before another upgrade attempt.
