You have noticed a Powershell process calling Get-SmbServerConfiguration that seems to be executed by SMA (Symantec Management Agent).
You wanted to know if this is normal/expected process/behavior.
ITMS 8.7.X
This "Get-SmbServerConfiguration" PowerShell command is called during the collection of inventory data for the "OS File Share" (Inv_OS_File_Share) dataclass (811d3412-fbfc-4e83-9b73-96dc6e709f77).
Enabled SMB protocol version is retrieved (for File Shares info) from the output of this command.
We attempt to execute it first to obtain more accurate data.
If it fails for any reason, we fall back to alternative methods.
You may disable collection of File Shares info in "Collect Inventory Policies" or "Gather Inventory tasks" to prevent running this command on clients.
Under your Inventory policy or Task, uncheck "File Share" option (under "Operating System>Common" category)
