Automatic Mode not populating for SR-IOV devices added on VM as PCI-passthrough Device

Issue/Introduction

Automatic Mode for the SR-IOV devices enabled on VM as PCI-passthrough is not visible. 

1. Select the VM 
2. Right Click > Edit Settings > Add New Device 
3. Select PCI Device 
4. Check the Device Setting 

Expected Behaviour - Automatic Mode 

Cause

The Automatic Mode is not present for the port groups that are attached to the uplinks with SR-IOV disabled.

Resolution

To effectively use the SR-IOV interfaces on the VM as PCI-passthrough device, choose the port group that is attached to the uplinks with SR-IOV enabled. 

The uplink has SR-IOV enabled or not can be checked from - 

1. Select the host in the inventory. 
2. Select the Configure Tab > Physical Adapters
3. Check SR-IOV Status field.
