When launching the Spectrum OneClick java-based client app via JNLP, on a Microsoft Windows based it takes several minutes to start, when previously, it was just seconds (around 10 to 20s). What can be done to improve the launch time?
DX NetOps Spectrum all currently supported releases
Windows client PC running java based OneClick client
The JRE may be keeping older elements that haven't been upgraded in it's cache, which causes the system to try to first start the OneClick client with these older (and no longer compatible elements) before then downloading the current elements from the OneClick server.
Clear the JRE cache as follows to try and improve the launch time
Oneclick.jnlp tmp files from the cache as per:Set the Limit Cache Size to 0. By setting this to 0, it does not continue to store the tmp files to cache.
