This error occurs in SRM environments where LUN replication is being set up between two sites, and the replication requires matching consistency groups at both the local and remote sites.
A consistency group refers to a group of volumes or storage devices that must remain in a consistent state during replication or failover operations.
Unable to find a matching consistency group at the local site for the remote consistency group 'Mars'
Unable to find a matching consistency group at the local site for the remote consistency group 'Pluto'
Unable to find a matching consistency group at the remote site for the local consistency group 'Jupiter'
Unable to find a matching consistency group at the remote site for the local consistency group 'Moon'
Unable to find a matching device at the local site for the remote device '0011C'
Unable to find a matching device at the local site for the remote device '0022D'
Unable to find a matching device at the remote site for the local device '00123'
Unable to find a matching device at the remote site for the local device '00321'

Numerous factors are responsible for such errors and can be attributed to the following components.
1. Missing or mismatched consistency group configuration or settings on the array between the sites
2. Device mismatch between the local and remote array
3. Incorrect local and remote array managers are paired in SRM
4. Network communication issues between sites
The troubleshooting steps outlined below should help in narrowing down potential causes.
1. Restart the SRM Appliance
2. Run Discover devices from array pairs to see if it resolves the issues.
3. Verify consistency group configuration on the array.
Check the local and remote array to ensure that the consistency group is available and recognized by both the arrays, ensuring there are no errors or configuration mismatches. The consistency group must have identical names and settings.
4. Verify the details entered in the local and remote array managers are accurate
A. Reconnect SRM site pair
B. Reconfigure the array managers
C. Re-create the consistency group on the array that is broken or showing errors.
5. Check network connectivity between the source and target site.
Verify that the network connection between the sites is stable and functioning correctly. Sometimes, network issues can prevent the local site from detecting the remote consistency groups. Check the firewall rules on your firewall or security appliance to ensure that they are allowing communication between the sites.
6. Review the SRA logs from both source & target SRM Appliances for additional error messages or warnings that might give more insight into why the consistency group cannot be found.
If you're still encountering the same errors, we suggest contacting your SRA/Storage (Pure, EMC, NetApp, Hitachi & IBM, etc.) vendor for further assistance. You may also reach out to VMware through Broadcom support if needed, but these errors are not regarded as a VLSR issue.
