Not seeing Error type trace

Issue/Introduction

We are not visualizing traces of the Error type in APM agents, we only visualize traces of the types "Other", "Error Snapshot" and "Stall".

Environment

DX O2 On premisse 24.2

Cause

As last discussed, the trace type "Other" (instead of the actual "Normal" or "Sampled") shown in the existing Traces view list for the on-prem versions is working as designed.

Resolution

You can see the actual trace type of an individual trace instead of the trace UI type "Other" when drilling down into the trace details and reviewing its trace parameters.  

This traces UI behavior has been there prior to DX O2 release on-prem 24.2 and in the older DX APM releases as well, nevertheless, the recently released DX O2 SaaS 25.1.1 has included traces UI enhancements to replace Traces Viewer with Event Viewer implementation to help distinguish normal and sampled traces by their actual types in the event list as shown below:

 

The new Events Viewer UI in the recently released DX O2 SaaS 25.1.1 would indicate the "Normal" or "Sampled" trace type instead of "Other" in the trace list. This UI enhancement will be also included in an upcoming DX O2 on-prem release.
