Issue/Introduction

During troubleshooting of Aria Operations it may be necessary to increase the log level to debug to identify issues.

Environment

Aria Operations

Resolution

There are different modules in Aria Operations where you may want to increase the log level. These are the steps to increase the log level for Diagnostics for VCF which is a feature of Aria Operations.

com.vmware.adapter3.diagnostics

com.vmware.vrops.diagnostics

com.integrien.analytics.dataobject

You need to navigate to the Control panel -> Support Logs.

For different logs you need to change the configuration of different modules.

For com.vmware.adapter3.diagnostics, you should navigate to the Collectors folder.

For com.vmware.vrops.diagnostics -> View Bridge

For com.integrien.analytics.dataobject - > Analytics

The process for adding a package and configuring the log level is identical. Once you have the respective folder selected, click on the wheel icon to "Edit properties".

This will present you with a list of packages already being logged. If the package is missing, use the "+" icon, to add the new package name.

After you click OK, the new package will appear in the list. On the right side there will be a drop down to select the desired log level.

Select Debug and OK.
