Issue/Introduction

When collecting config files via logs collection in Enforce console, some key config files are missing from the collection in 16.1

Resolution

The following config files are not collected during logs/config collection from within Enforce console in 16.1.  This is by design and are now not collected due to sensitive data contained within them.They must be gathered manually from the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Symantec\DataLossPrevention\DetectionServer\16.1.00000\Protect\config

• EnforceConnectorCommunication.properties
• Jcifs.properties
• MonitorController.properties
• OCRDetection.properties
• ProfileIndexConfiguration.properties
• Protect.properties
• UDSStorageServicesConfiguration.properties

 

Log collection is done from within the Enforce console with the following steps:

• System
• Servers and Detectors
• Logs
• Next you select which logs you want and from what detection server.
• Select Date range
• click "Collect Logs"
