Missing Alert information in DX Dashboard

Issue/Introduction

Just noticed an issue on alert information in  APM. Apparently, majority of the alerts from 2024 disappeared and consolidated to 2025.

To provide additional findings to support this case, Tried to filter all alerts triggered in 2024 and 2025 (including closed) in the All Alarms page of Broadcom APM.

2024: the result shows only 30,668 alerts triggered the whole year.

2025: the result shows 225,841 alerts triggered from year-to-date.

Resolution

The default criteria for storing alarms that are closed is 30 days. This is configurable by DevOps. The schedule to delete the old closed alarms is based upon storage / index size.So seeing less alarms may be a result of this.  If you want to see the number of alarms executed by a  policy then there are metrics in NASS.
