Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Spectrum to 24.3.5 or 24.3.6, the following messages can start to appear in VNM.OUT:

ERROR TRACE AT CsIHGetPorts.cc(1587): ....and getting ports based on sub_contains_if, size of ports3 for Board mh: <model_handle>

Environment

Spectrum 24.3.5 and 24.3.6

Cause

Those messages are related to internal debug (few chassis module devices) and are totally benign. However, currently there is not a flag in Spectrum code to enable/disable them.

Resolution

There is a patch available for 24.3.5 version : 24.03.05.PTF_24.3.501

Please contact the Broadcom Support Team and request for it, if necessary.

NOTE: This fix will be available by default in Spectrum 24.3.7 version.
