XCOM Data Transport - Linux PC

Issue/Introduction

No user is able to use the c3 (Send job to execute on remote Linux system) option. This worked OK until yesterday.  All other options work.

Environment

XCOM™ Data Transport® for Linux PC

Cause

Permissions problem

Resolution

On a Linux/Unix system, look at the value of parameter TEMPDIR in the $XCOM_HOME/config/xcom.glb file. By default, It uses "/tmp".

The path specified in this parameter should allow the XCOM transfers to write and execute from this location. Check if the permissions on this path have changed which can cause this problem for XCOM to run jobs.

After the user was given permissions on the rwx folder, xcomtcp with the c3 option started working.
