How to run the Spectrum upgrade/installer on Windows

Issue/Introduction

The Windows version of Spectrum uses a GUI a based installer. This article shows where to get it from and how to run it.

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum all currently supported releases

Resolution

First, download the package from Broadcom Support : Downloads : Spectrum

You will see a list of options depending on your licensing entitlements. For example:

Select the Spectrum option available and then select the preferred version:

Once downloaded, uncompress it and you will see the following files in the directory to which they've been extracted:

Run setupnt. This will bring up the following screen:

Select the "Install DX NetOps Spectrum Remote Administration" option if this is a new install. Otherwise, you can go straight to "Install DX NetOps Spectrum". 

When installing Spectrum, the initial screens will take you through the License page. After reading through, you click on accept at the bottom and then Next:

After clicking on Next, it will take you through the configuration screens where you can setup the system as per your requirements. These configuration selections are described and detailed in the following section of our TechDocs:

When you get to the screen where Spectrum Component Selection options are displayed, if this is an upgrade, the Installer will detect the current installation and automatically select the components of that installation:

To change these, for example to remove say OneClick, you would need to Uninstall first as per:
