Issue/Introduction

After in place upgrade from Jaspersoft 8.1.1 to 9.0 on a clustered environment, not able to access with superuser. Other users are working and the servers are up. No errors in the logs. If we reset the password it works for some time and then it fails again with

2025-01-10T04:16:56,248 ERROR SecureExceptionHandlerImpl,http-nio-8080-exec-4:135 [] - The data source connection failed.. ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Environment

Jaspersoft 9 with Clarity

Resolution

1. Make sure Java version is the same between servers in cluster

2. Make sure $JaspersoftTomcat\webapps\reportservice\META-INF\context.xml files are the same between servers 

3. Make sure you also reset the keystores:

  • Copy .jrsks, .jrsksp , .jslic from primary Jasper server to all other Jasper server so that same files will be on sync in all servers.
  • Restart Jaspersoft
  • Run admin jaspersoft syncPPMContext -userName superuser -password superuser

Additional Information

Note: If you have done multiple attempts to connect, your superuser password may also need resetting. Please check Jaspersoft 9.0 with Clarity - reset superuser password
