Creating VM storage policy after assigning a new TAG to datastore did not show the datastore as compatible

Issue/Introduction

Following the assignment of a new tag to a datastore within a datastore cluster, this datastore is now being reported as incompatible within the Storage Compatibility section when attempting to create a new virtual machine storage policy.

 

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 7.0.x
VMware vCenter Server 8.0.x

VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0.x
VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0.x

Resolution

All datastores within a datastore cluster must be assigned the same tag specified in the storage policy.

All datastores assigned with the identical tag are listed as compatible within the storage compatibility results.
