Edge running 5.0 software is not responding to SNMP v2 when there are multiple community strings configured.

Issue/Introduction

Edge is not responding to SNMP v2.

Environment

VCO version 5.1 or higher

VCE version 5.0 and lower|

SNMP v2

Cause

VCO allows for the configuration of multiple community strings, but the edge only responds to the first value in the list.



The support for multiple community strings was added in 5.1 software.

This went in release_5.1.0 (both VCO and VCE).
But then under scenarios where VCO is 5.1.0 and VCE is less than 5.1.0, VCO ends up sending a list of community strings.
This is fine for VCE 5.1.0 and above, for older VCE releases this will break SNMP.

Resolution

With edges running software below, 5.1, use only 1 community string for SNMP v2
