Summary: Although the record may have a blueprint rule to disable editing, the ‘bar’ on a timeline can still be moved, thereby updating data on the record. This can occur on the Tasks Timeline or in any of the modules in the Staffing Workspace that has a Timeline layout. This can occur for rules related to start and finish dates or duration or to disable the entire record.
The timeline pages on individual workspaces for Projects, Ideas, CITS, and Teams honor the business rules as expected and the user is prevented from moving the bars.
Steps to Reproduce:
Expected Results: When the record is disabled for editing through a business rule, the ‘bar’ should not move on a timeline.
Actual Results: The ‘bar’ is not aware of the business rule. It can move, thereby updating data on the record.
Workaround: None.
This is a gap in implementation.
Requirements need to be refined and developed to address this issue.
