ARCOT_HOME File systems not updated in Strong Authentication upgrade process

Issue/Introduction

When upgrading a strong authentication product by running install.bat, the file systems in <ARCOT_HOME> are not changed.

Environment

Symantec Strong Authentication 9.1 SP5

Windows Server 2019

Cause

When the install.bat file is run, it tries to copy files to the <ARCOT_HOME> folder and fails with the error "Permission denied" due to lack of permissions.

Resolution

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Open Command Prompt as administrator.
2. Navigate to the extracted folder (Symantec-AdvancedAuthentication-Patch-<version>-<platform>).
3. Execute install.bat
