Issue/Introduction

During an Org VDC V2T migration, a suffix of "-v2t" might be added to the Org VDC name if the old (NSX-V) Org VDC was not deleted as part of the migration.

Hence, the Org VDC, its Resource Pool and vCenter folder will subsequently be named <ovdc_name-v2t>.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6

Resolution

To rename the OVDC, its Resource Pool and vSphere Folder, you only need to edit the OVDC name from VCD UI:

Log in to Provider Portal > Resources > Cloud Resources > Organization VDCs > Click on the OVDC name > Edit

Once the edit is made, the resource pool and vCenter folder should automatically be renamed/updated to reflect the new name

Note:

There is a limitation in 10.5.1 in which performing the above will not reflect on the Folders within vCenter.
