Issue/Introduction

On the topic of CA-Cleanup and restoring of ID and content from ACF2. Will there be a scenario that can restore password credentials of a restored ID from ACF2? 

Environment

z/os Cleanup for ACF2  and ACF2

Resolution

ACF2 stores a password in the logonid record in a one-way encrypted format. So it is not possible to retrieve passwords from ACF2 and use it in Cleanup for ACF2. However, Cleanup for ACF2 has an option (PSWDTEXT) in AT5#RPT where a password can be set for the LID restore commands.
