Issue/Introduction

After a discovery of a server, the snapshots older than one week are automatically deleted.
How to extend the retention time ?

Environment

Configuration Automation 12.9

Cause

By default snapshots created by management profiles have a age of 1 week and are automatically deleted after 1 week.

Resolution

It is possible to update the properties of the management profile to increase the age :

1- In configuration Automation UI, go in Management and select "Management Profiles" :

 

2- Click on the Profile used for the discovery (ex: Discover and Manage Application Server)

3- Click on Management Options tab and click on Snapshots
Here you have the possibility to change the Maximum Age from 1 Week to higher value :
