Issue/Introduction

xvMotion from one cluster to another with "Configure per disk" option is reporting error : "Select a valid destination storage" and not allowing to proceed further with svMotion

Environment

ESXi 7.x

ESXi 8.x

Cause

As per the design, the destination ESXi host should have access to the datastores where we intended to migrate the VMDK. We see error "Select a valid destination storage" if host do not have datastore access.

Resolution

Make sure the datastores selected in migration wizard are accessible by destination ESXi hosts
