Can I delete the <APM_HOME>/hotfix directory?

Issue/Introduction

Security scan has found an issue in this file: <APM-HOME>/hotfix/10.8.0-HF04/install/database-scripts/lib/postgresql-42.2.25.jar

this folder and file was created during the Service Pack 1 installation.

Is it possible to delete the <APM-HOME>/hotfix directory with all its content?

Environment

DX APM 10.8sp1

Resolution

The <APM-HOME>/hotfix folder is a backup of previous files before applying a hotfix in case there is a need to manually rollback

 

Upon successful installation of a HOTFIX, yes, you can safely delete the entire content of the <APM-HOME>/hotfix folder
