WARN [ServerConnection on port 10000 Thread 14] com.vmware.vcops.wlp.evaluator.PlacementImpactHandler.canSupportLoad - There is no room for demand, provider = XXXXXXXXX, providerResContainer = mem|demand, capacity = 4.831040088E8, threshold = 80.0, overhead = 4.3559489759999967E8, demandLimit = -4.9111690559999645E7
Environment
Aria Operations 8.18.X
Cause
The WLP (Workload Placement) engine will not place a deployment on any Datastore / Datastore cluster / Cluster where placement will cause the objects Workload threshold to exceed the value configured for this object in the Aria Operations policy as described in the Resolution below.
Resolution
vCenter:
Find the Datastore / Datastore Cluster which you intend to deploy to and confirm that the usage is exceeding 80% (Aria Operations default Workload threshold)
If Datastore usage exceeds 80%, either add additional capacity to this Datastore / Datastore Cluster or proceed with the steps below.
Aria Operations:
Search for the Datastore / Datastore Cluster object which you intend to deploy to.
On the top right hand corner of the window, click on "POLICY", then "View Policy".
Once the policy opens, click on "EDIT POLICY", then open the "Capacity" tile
In the "Capacity Thresholds and Metrics" section select the Datastore / Datastore Cluster / Cluster Compute Resource objects and increase the Workload thresholds for each so that they will allow the deployment.
