Upgrade to R12.1 SP1 failing while updating database

Issue/Introduction

SP2-0751: Unable to connect to Oracle.  Exiting SQL*Plus

Found error pattern ORA-12154

 database was not created or updated.

Environment

R12.1

Cause

When database upgrade executing through /tmp

pre_upgrade_tmp.sql

/tmp is mounted with noexec under FS

Resolution

Before running upgrade, execute below

mount /tmp -o remount,exec
