VCO assigns only one partner gateway although many other gateways exist

Issue/Introduction

- After creating the VCG pool and adding multiple VCGs to it. VCO assigns only 1 VCG as primary and secondary neglecting the rest of VCGs.

Environment

All on-prem environments. Environments with partner gateways (PGW) configured.

Cause

Distance between PGW1 and PGW2 is less than 50KM. VCGs need to be at least 50KM away from each other for the VCO to assign them properly.

 

Resolution

Change the location of one of the VCGs and perform "Gateway Rebalance" for edges so VCO re-distribute VCGs.
